Resilient growth in an adverse global context
The performance of the agri-food sector contrasts positively with the rest of the Spanish economy, whose exports grew at a more moderate pace of 0,7%. This performance is especially significant considering that 2025 was marked by a complex international scenario, with the ongoing conflict between Rusia y Ucrania, the imposition of new tariffs on imports by Estados Unidos and the volatility in energy prices. These factors have directly impacted supply chains and global trade in goods.
Fruits, meats and vegetables lead international sales
By subsector, fruit remains the leading export category at €11.918 billion. It is closely followed by meat at €10.548 billion and vegetables at €9.352 billion, reinforcing the strength of Spanish primary production in foreign markets.
Regarding destinations, the Unión Europea It remains the priority trading partner, absorbing more than two-thirds of total exports, specifically 67,2% of the total value.
