Once again, Madrid witnessed the annual logistics conference organized by CEL Centro Español de Logística.
Throughout the afternoon, presentations were held under the theme "Collaboration and Complexity: The New Management Environment." The event was attended by logistics operators, exporting companies, members of export and logistics departments, and representatives from any company operating within the sector.
As highlighted by President of CEL, Alejandro Gutiérrez Velázquez, have observed that in recent years the collaboration is a trend which is here to stay in the management of supply chain. For this reason, and with the emergence of new distribution channels, new consumption models, the lengthening of logistics chains, and physical security, among other factors, these elements have become key in logistics management, a task of enormous complexity.
During the morning there was a visit to the Farmavenix facilities, logistics operator of Grupo Cofares, in Marchamalo (Guadalajara), a logistics center of 9.000 square meters, currently being expanded to over 16.000 square meters and with capacity for 40.000 pallet spaces.
