76,1% of OHLA's turnover has been made abroad

Sales have increased by 11,8%

In the distribution of sales in the three reference geographic areas: Europe represents 45,8%, -Spain reaches 23,9%, -North America, 36,8% and Latin America, 16,6%.

OHLA returns to profit and concludes the first half of 2023 with an EBITDA of around 51 million euros, 48,5% more. For its part, Sales have increased by 11,8% to 1.412,4 million.  76,1% of the turnover has been carried out abroad.

The company improves its records at an operational level, increasing margins in the manufacturing divisions. Construction and Industrial reaching 4,7% and 3,7%, respectively.

These results consolidate the good evolution of the business and serve as a basis to complete the company's transformation process, focusing on improving the operating margins of the projects with the aim of boosting the Group's profitability.

In the first half of 2023, the evolution of ebitda and sales of both Construction and Industrial stands out, with advances, in the case of the gross operating result of Construction, of more than 23,3%. For its part, Industrial sales doubled to reach 90,4 million euros.

Wallet

The total portfolio in the first half of 2023 reaches 7.117,0 million euros, 11% higher than the figure for December 2022. For its part, the short-term portfolio in the reference period stands at 6.037,8 million of euros, representing an activity of 24 months of sales.

The boost in Concessions activity stands out, thus, after adding new assets in Chile - Biobío Hospital Network -, Colombia - North Access road corridor 2– and Spain – Expansion of the Niño Jesús Hospital –, the company was awarded a new concession contract in Chile in 2023, the National Cancer Institute, with an investment of over €300 million. This reinforces its extensive experience in the hospital sector, where it manages 825.000 square meters of concessioned hospital assets in America and Europe.

Regarding Industrial, mention must be made of the new contracts in the field of renewable energies. Thus in Spain, where it already has close to 1.100 MW, the company has recently been awarded the construction of a 124 MW photovoltaic plant in Zaragoza, two in Seville, with a combined power of 87 MW, one in Badajoz of 130 MW and one in Mérida of 105 MW.

On the other hand, OHLA has ended the first half of 2023 with a total liquidity position with recourse of 620,0 million euros, improving by 38,8 million euros the figure from last March.
