The tool, known as Exporter Diagnosis and co-financed with funds Feder, helps companies accurately identify their export markets with greater potential and to strengthen their capabilities in foreign trade.
To introduce this technology, the Development Institute (INFO), in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN-Seimed), will hold a free virtual workshop on September 23rd. The event, which will include practical exercises and demonstrations, will teach participants how to use the platform and its key component: the Market Selector.
The director of INFO, Joaquin GomezGómez emphasized the importance of democratizing access to business intelligence, which was previously only available to large corporations. "The massive use of data enabled by digitalization opens a new chapter for our SMEs, allowing them to make informed decisions about where and how to export," he stated.
The tool not only identifies the most promising markets based on product and customer type, but also assesses the company's strengths and weaknesses in areas such as marketing, competition, technology, and barriers to entry. This generates customized reports that serve as a guide for your internationalization strategy.
“The platform’s added value lies in its continuous updates,” Gómez explained. “This allows companies to see how their results improve as they address weaknesses and strengthen their export capabilities.” The INFO director also emphasized that this application is crucial for helping SMEs navigate the current geopolitical situation.
The workshop, which seeks to empower companies to make the most of the platform, is a key initiative. To date, INFO has organized six similar workshops since 2023, with 154 companies participating and around 100 companies using the tool each quarter.
SMEs interested in beginning their internationalization process or reevaluating their current markets can register for the workshop until September 22 through the INFO website.
