Spanish construction giant Grupo ACS , through its subsidiary Leighton Asia , part of the CIMIC Group , has announced the awarding of a new major contract in India. The construction company will be responsible for building a complex of high-rise residential towers in the vibrant city of Mumbai , thus strengthening its presence in the Indian real estate market.
The project, located in Kandivali East, will generate revenues of approximately 95 million euros for Leighton Asia.
The ambitious project involves the construction of six imposing residential towers, each rising to 44 stories. The homes will be delivered in two phases, covering a total built area of approximately 494.000 square meters. The complex's design also places a strong emphasis on sustainability, aiming to achieve the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).
Juan Santamaría, CEO of the CIMIC Group, notes that “Large-scale residential and commercial projects, with a university-style feel, are a hallmark of Leighton Asia’s work in India and Asia. Working with one of India’s leading property developers, we are delighted to undertake this project for Mumbai’s growing population.”
The construction of this modern residential complex is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2028, adding a significant number of high-quality homes to the Mumbai market and consolidating the position of the ACS Group as a key player in infrastructure development in India.
