Florentino Pérez recalled the beginnings of the company and the magnitude of the path taken with its shareholders, which has led ACS to consolidate itself as one of the largest infrastructure groups worldwideIn his address, Pérez highlighted the remarkable growth experienced over the past 25 years: “We have increased our revenue fifteenfold, from €2.700 billion to €41.600 billion in 2024. For 2025, we expect to exceed €45.000 billion. Furthermore, our net profit has increased significantly, from €85 million in 1999 to €828 million in 2024.” The Chairman concluded by emphasizing his pride in ACS’s consolidation as an international leader capable of offering innovative solutions in both traditional and next-generation infrastructure.
For its part, Juan Santamaria, CEO of the ACS Group, highlighted the strategic opportunities that are opening up in the so-called «next-generation markets“where the company already holds a leading position. Santamaría analyzed the prospects for a demanding but promising future. “Throughout 2024, we strengthened our position in high-growth, high-value-added segments, such as infrastructure linked to digitalization, energy demand, defense, sustainable mobility, biopharmaceuticals, and critical minerals. Projects linked to these segments represented more than 50% of new awards during the year.”
The CEO concluded his remarks by highlighting the company's strength in continuing to generate value for its stakeholders: "We know that our global presence, our portfolio of high value-added projects, and the talent we possess place us in a privileged position to continue delivering value to our various stakeholders. This value depends on continuing to drive the growth and excellence of ACS. That is my goal and my challenge as CEO of a Group that has doubled its market capitalization in the last three years and that has the ambition to continue contributing to shaping the future of infrastructure."
The General Shareholders' Meeting concluded on an optimistic note, reaffirming ACS's commitment to innovation and sustainable growth in the markets of the future.
