Acciona wins Australia's top infrastructure award for Legacy Way

“Project of the Year 2015” to the consortium led by Acciona for “changing the Australian approach to tunnel projects”

Acciona has been awarded the prize of infrastructure most prestigious in Australia for the execution of the Legacy Way tunnel in Brisbane.

 

 

The leading forum for Construction Industry, Infrastructure Partnerships Australia (IPA), has chosen as “Project of the Year 2015” the tunnel worth 1.500 billion Australian dollars – about 1.075 million euros – developed by Acciona in recognition of his financial excellence in the project execution, its quality as a contractor, and the high degree of collaboration with the Administration demonstrated in the development of the work.

 

 

The Transcity joint venture led by Acciona, which includes Italy's Ghella and Brisbane company BMD, is completing the construction of the 4,6 kilometers of twin tunnels, in which all world speed records have been broken in the construction of tunnels, whether daily, weekly or monthly.
