An international delegation from the biotechnology sector learns about the infrastructure of the Free Trade Zone in Porto do Molle

Within the framework of Galicia BioDays 2024

The visit of this international delegation is a sign of the growing interest in Galicia's potential as a biotechnology hub.

An international delegation of companies, research centers and institutions in the biotechnology sector from Scotland, Japan, Italy, Canada, Belgium, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Norway and Spain visited the facilities of Free Zone at the Porto do Molle Business Park, within the framework of the BioBusiness Tour of Galicia BioDays 2024.

The delegation, headed by the State Delegate in the Vigo Free Zone Consortium, David regades, had the opportunity to visit the three specialized and highly equipped laboratories that Zona Franca has in the Aerospace Technology Building. These laboratories, developed within the framework of the CT Bio program and financed with funds SPRING, are available to companies in the biotechnology and aerospace sectors and allow them to carry out tests without having to make large investments.

The visit also included a tour of the facilities of Lonza Biologics, Spanish Seaweed Company (CEAMSA) and Zendal, leading companies in the biotechnology sector that are installed in the O Porriño industrial estate and that will soon move to the Porto do Molle business park.

Galicia BioDays 2024, which will take place on June 13 and 14 at the Mar de Vigo Auditorium, will be an ideal forum to learn about the latest trends in the sector and to establish contacts with leading companies and institutions worldwide.
