Andalucía TRADE projects the internationalization of Andalusian firms in eight countries.

 

Andalucía TRADE has successfully completed the 18th International Meeting of the Agricultural Auxiliary Industry, held from May 20 to 22 within the framework of the Infoagro International Exhibition in AlmeríaThis key event facilitated more than 200 business meetings between 36 Andalusian companies and operators in eight strategic markets: Kenya, Mexico, Poland, Peru, Qatar, Dominican Republic, Thailand and Türkiye, with the aim of promoting the internationalization of the sector.

Record Figures and Business Opportunities

 

The auxiliary industry of Andalusian agriculture has demonstrated its strength, with exports which reached €880 million in 2024, representing a 6% increase compared to the previous year. This annual meeting, co-financed with funds UE Through the Andalusian FEDER PO 2021-2027, it seeks to connect Andalusian supply with global importers, distributors, and wholesalers, boosting the sector's business volume.

A Complete Agenda for Success

 

The event began on May 20 with a presentation of the sector to the international delegation by Diego Teruel, business director of the Tecnova Technology Center, followed by intense B2B meetings. The international operators They also had the opportunity to visit the facilities of technova, a benchmark in innovation and technological development for intensive agriculture, which collaborates with more than 300 companies worldwide.

 

The second day continued with more business interviews and a visit to the Las Palmerillas Experimental Center of the Cajamar Foundation, highlighting its fundamental role in sustainable agricultural research.

 

May 22 was dedicated to exploring the fair Infoagro Exhibition at the Aguadulce Convention Center, a platform that brings together the latest innovations and technologies in the sector, with the participation of 660 exhibitors and 57.000 professional visitors, of which more than 10.000 were international.

 

Andalusian agricultural auxiliary industry exports grew by 6% to €880 million in 2024.

 

Diversity of Andalusian Companies

 

In this edition, the meeting was attended by 36 Andalusian firms, with a notable representation of Almeria, which brought 28 companies such as Agrikubic, Hortimax Growing Solutions and Ecoculture Biosciences. Also present were companies from Seville (AGQ Labs), Jaen (Condepols), Cordoba (Facoma 2005), Granada (Mafa Bioscience) and Malaga (Seragro Integral), consolidating the diversity and potential of the region's agricultural auxiliary industry.

 

Leadership in Agricultural Exports

 

Andalusia is positioned as a key player in agricultural auxiliary industry exports, contributing 8,9% of the national total. Seville led exports in 2024 with €202 million (22,9% of the total), experiencing a growth of 21,8%. It was followed by Almería with €177 million (20,1%) and Málaga with €158 million (18%).

 

In terms of destinations, Almería sales reached 115 countries. Morocco was the top destination with €23,2 million, a 19,1% increase. Other notable markets included Portugal, Italy, France, Germany and Mexico, the latter with a notable increase of 22%.
