Andalucía has achieved a historical record in exports of olive oil during the first ten months of 2024, reaching an unprecedented figure of 3.879 million euros. This milestone represents an increase of 46 % compared to the same period of the previous year, consolidating the region as a world leader in the sale of the so-called "liquid gold”. According to data provided by Andalusia TRADE-Business Agency for Transformation and Economic Development, this figure exceeds by one billion the previous record registered in 2022.
El American market has become the main international destination for Andalusian olive oil, with a year-on-year growth of 66%, reaching sales worth 735 million euros. In addition, Australia has doubled its purchases, becoming the sixth most important destination with transactions amounting to 160 million.
In provincial terms, Seville leads exports with a contribution of 51% to the regional total, followed by Cordoba and Malaga. Almeria It stands out for its notable increase of 187%, tripling its figures compared to the previous year.
