Trade mission
Spanish companies will meet with importers, distributors, architects and interior decorators in the Arab Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Kuwait, with the aim of presenting their collections and closing commercial agreements.
In the framework of the Furniture Sector Plan 2016, ANIEME has organized a direct trade mission to Kuwait and Abu Dhabi, in which they participate 5 Spanish furniture and decoration companies, specialized in comprehensive solutions for contract projects.
For this ANIEME has had the support of ICEX and the Spanish Commercial Office in Kuwait, in charge of preparing the interview programs in said country. The agendas of meetings in Abu Dhabi have been prepared by technical staff of ENCOURAGE ME, based on the contacts previously visited by the Association in the different prospecting trips carried out to this destination.
The companies participating in this trade mission are ALEXANDRA COLLECTION, DANIEL BOLEA, COMMERCIAL FURNITURE GALLERY, GUADARTE and IDEATEC.
The commercial mission of ENCOURAGE ME, that It started on Sunday the 13th and will continue until Thursday the 17th. of March, has as target promote commercial contacts with importers and prescribers that contribute to consolidate the presence of Spanish furniture in Kuwait and Abu Dhabi, both at retail level and through the contract channel for furnishing facilities.
In both cases, these are countries that are going through an important phase of development urban planning and construction, which materializes in numerous installation projects of various types, from hospitals and universities to hotel and residential complexes, including luxury shopping centers, sports facilities, offices...etc.
During the last years, ANIEME has exhaustively analyzed the furniture sector in markets such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. among others, through prospecting trips, direct commercial missions, fairs...etc.
High-end neo-classical and contemporary furniture, decorative accessories, upholstered furniture, office furniture and acoustic solutions for contract projects, are some of the proposals that the companies participating in the ANIEME mission present this week to their potential Arab clients.
The real estate projects and the urban Development from the Middle East area cause furniture imports to increase, so ENCOURAGE ME considers that this is an area of interest for Spanish furniture companies, especially in the case of companies specialized in the contract channel.
The figures also support these good prospects. Thus, during the year In 2015, Spanish furniture exports to the Arab Emirates increased by 53,3% with respect to the previous year, with a total volume of 30,6 millones de euros and placing itself in 12th place in the world ranking of Spanish Furniture destinations.
The demand for avant-garde furniture and mid-high and high-end furniture stands out especially, as the trend in these markets reflects a significant evolution towards more modern tastes. For modern style office furniture, interesting business possibilities are observed. For its part, classic furniture is also in demand, especially to furnish senior management offices, embassies and palaces or private residences of sheikhs and members of the royal family.
