Five Asturian companies, Asturmadi Doors, Andrés Eudardo Otero Pena, Cambios Positivos, Juan Martínez and SMYM, are in the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica on a trade mission organized by Asturex, the Principality of Asturias Foreign Promotion Society.
From May 27 to 31, the participating companies are maintaining an intense agenda of meetings with relevant companies and institutions from both countries, with the aim of prospect new markets, initiate and consolidate sales And ultimately, strengthen the presence of the Asturian company in the region.
This commercial mission is another example of Asturex's commitment to supporting the internationalization of the Asturian company.
A growing market with opportunities for various sectors
The Dominican Republic, with an economy that represents almost half of the gross domestic product of the Caribbean basin, and Costa Rica, the third largest economy in Central America, are markets with high potential for Asturian companies.
In the case of the Dominican Republic, opportunities stand out in sectors such as electrical and mechanical machinery, construction materials, refrigeration systems, spare parts, machinery for the food industry, supplies for agribusiness, furniture, wines, oil, medicines, packaged foods, renewable energy, engineering and supervision .
Costa Rica, for its part, offers opportunities in infrastructure, capital goods for export industries such as agribusiness, medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
