With the aim of strengthening the presence of Asturian companies in international markets, the Foreign Promotion Society of the Principality of Asturias (Asturex) has organized a multi-sector trade mission to Ecuador and Panama from February 17 to 21. Six Asturian companies from various sectors, Globaitic Group, Hierros y Carbones, Image Analyst Processing, Junquera y Diz, Legal Software and Talleres Zitrón, are participating in this initiative that seeks to boost export growth and open up new business opportunities.
During the trade mission, the Asturian companies have held meetings with potential clients and partners in both markets, exploring the possibilities of establishing long-term business relationships. In addition, they have participated in institutional meetings organized by Asturex, led by the company's general manager, Bruno López Vizcón, who has highlighted the importance of this initiative for the development of the Asturian business community.
“This trade mission represents a unique opportunity for Asturian companies to diversify their markets and expand their international presence,” stated López Vizcón. “Ecuador and Panama are strategic markets with great growth potential, and we are convinced that Asturian companies have a lot to offer in these countries."
The choice of Ecuador and Panama as destinations for this trade mission is no coincidence. Asturex has carried out an exhaustive analysis of the business opportunities in these markets, identifying sectors with high potential for Asturian companies.
In Ecuador, public procurement in sectors such as infrastructure and health, as well as the growth of imports driven by the agreement with the EU, offer interesting opportunities. For its part, Panama, with its high per capita income and its position as a logistics and commercial center in the region, offers opportunities in sectors such as construction, tourism, energy and logistics. The expansion of the Panama Canal and the infrastructure projects underway generate a growing demand for goods and services in various sectors, which opens up a range of possibilities for Asturian companies.
