Banco Santander recognizes nine disruptive projects at the Santander X Spain Awards 2025

 

Banco Santander has completed the 2025 edition of its prestigious awards. Santander X Spain Awards at the Valencia Digital Summit, an internationally renowned event for the entrepreneurial ecosystem. These awards seek boost growth, international visibility and mentoring of the most promising business ideas in Spain, after a call that brought together More than 1.300 participants.

 

A jury composed of experts in entrepreneurship, investment and technology selected the winners from among 30 finalistsThe projects that obtained the highest recognition in their respective categories, and that will compete in the Santander X Global Awards 2025, are:

 

Scaleup Category: Arkadia SpaceThis company develops green chemical propulsion systems for satellites and space vehicles, with modular and scalable engines based on H2O2 and proprietary fuels lower toxicity, oriented to orbital maneuvers and deep missions.

 

Startup Category: Atom H2. Proposes a hybrid, emission-free power system which combines lithium batteries and solid hydrogen (in metal hydrides) to provide continuous storage, a viable solution to replace diesel in critical infrastructure.

 

University Category: Haptics. They have designed a sensory bracelet all with arm prosthesis that provides real-time feedback and greater control, facilitating daily tasks and reducing prosthesis abandonment, without the need for surgery or device modifications.

 

The winners will be able to compete in the Santander X Global Awards 2025 representing Spain.

 

 

In addition to the three top awards, six other innovative proposals were recognized:

 

In category Scaleup, the second prize went to Reveni, a platform that integrates operations and fintech for international expantion of brands, and the third for Captoplastic, which offers solutions for the capture and control of microplastics in various types of water.

 

In category Startup, the second place was achieved Release Bio, focused on the development of precision nanomedicine to address incurable diseases, and the third was to Calpech, which promotes circular economy by transforming the alpechin into carbon-encapsulated iron nanoparticles.

 

Finally, in the category University, the second place was occupied by Awa Monitoring, with its Ceramic Passive Sampler (CPS) for a water monitoring cost-efficient, and the third Albor Space, which develops a satellite emulator for testing 5G networks quickly and economically.

 

The nine award-winning projects shared a total of 75.000 Euros and obtain the passport to represent Spain in the international competition, the Santander X Global Award 2025, where they will compete against the best projects from eight other countries.
