The plenary session of the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium ( CZFB ), chaired by Mayor Jaume Collboni , has approved the budget for next year, highlighting a projected profit of €26,9 million , representing a 4,6% increase compared to the previous year. Furthermore, net revenue is expected to reach €76 million by 2025.
During the plenary session, Jaume Collboni emphasized “ the fundamental role of the Consortium as an economic engine for the city , ” expressing his “complete satisfaction with the projects promoted and the management of the industrial park .” For her part, Blanca Sorigué , CEO of the CZFB, presented the updated 2025-2029 Strategic Plan, focused on the economic and social development of the territory and other strategic pillars.
With these firm steps, the CZFB continues to consolidate itself as an international benchmark in advanced industry and long-term economic sustainability.
Among the highlighted projects for 2025 is the second phase of DFactory Barcelona, which will add an additional 70.000 m² to the existing industrial ecosystem.
"The 2025 budgets clearly demonstrate our commitment to everything that the economic and social promotion of the city of Barcelona entails, as well as the promotion of Industry 4.0 in the region," explained Pere Navarro , Special State Delegate to the CZFB, in his appearance.
Reindustrialization is progressing with EV Motors producing the S700 model at the former Nissan plant . Furthermore, the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium has announced an agreement with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development ( OECD ) to collaborate, since December, on a pilot project to certify Free Trade Zones with the highest standards of security and transparency in international trade.
