Boosting Valencian tile: Ivace+i International and ASCER promote the 'Tile of Spain' in Brussels

The event, held at the headquarters of the Belgian Construction Association ( EMBUILD ), was aimed at a select group of specifiers, designers and distributors, with the objective of boosting the tile sector of the Valencian Community.

Ester Olivas , Director General of Entrepreneurship and Internationalization, highlighted that this initiative is part of the joint efforts with the sector to strengthen the promotion of tiles in key markets. "We aim to directly impact professionals who can specify our product in architectural and interior design projects, thus expanding their knowledge and use," Olivas stated.

The seminar is part of the Ivace+i International Export Promotion Plan , which aims to raise awareness and expand knowledge of Valencian production sectors in strategic markets . This time, the event in Belgium featured the participation of ten leading tile companies from the Valencian Community, who presented a representative sample of the potential and versatility of 'Tile of Spain'. The participating companies were Arcana, Argenta, Azteca, Decocer, Dune, Exagres, Grespania, ITT, STN, and Tau.

The event program included a technical presentation by the Valencian studio Viruta Lab , who addressed the use of ceramics in contemporary architecture, offering attendees an innovative perspective. Additionally, an exhibition was organized where companies showcased their latest collections, fostering networking and business opportunities.

To maximize the reach and attendance of the seminar, Ivace+i Internacional developed a dedicated microsite. This digital tool contains the complete catalog and detailed information on all participating companies, facilitating access for those interested in the Belgian market.

Belgium represents a highly significant market for Valencian tiles. In 2024, it ranked as the 12th largest destination for 'Tile of Spain' ceramic floor and wall tiles , with sales reaching €74,5 million. This upward trend continued in 2025, with sales of €26,7 million between January and April, propelling Belgium to tenth position in the destination ranking.
