CaixaBank and CEOE boost business growth with a €45.000 billion financing facility

CaixaBank and the CEOE ( Spanish Confederation of Employers' Organizations) have strengthened their commitment to Spain's economic development by expanding their long-standing collaboration. The new financing line, which exceeds the previous year's figure by €5.000 billion, aims to boost growth, competitiveness, entrepreneurship, internationalization , and innovation within the Spanish business landscape.

The agreement, signed today by Tomás Muniesa , Chairman of CaixaBank, and Antonio Garamendi , President of the CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Employers' Organizations), is particularly relevant in a global context where companies face constant challenges in areas such as sustainability, technology, and competitiveness. Both institutions have expressed their firm commitment to effectively addressing companies' financing needs and supporting initiatives that generate tangible benefits in these crucial areas.

One of the most significant aspects of this agreement is its priority focus on SMEs , stipulating that a minimum of 75% of the companies receiving this funding must be small and medium-sized enterprises. This measure underscores the importance of this sector for job creation and economic growth.

Tomás Muniesa highlighted the fundamental role of entrepreneurs in society: “Businesses and entrepreneurs are a fundamental asset in our society. With their initiative, vision, and ability to take risks, they are able to transform the environment, generate employment, and contribute to collective well-being. At CaixaBank, we firmly believe in their role as drivers of economic and social progress. That is why we are renewing our commitment to them, facilitating access to financing, promoting digitalization, and fostering sustainability as strategic pillars of business growth . ”

For his part, Antonio Garamendi emphasized the need to facilitate access to financing: “Access to financing is the first step in launching a business project and an essential element for its consolidation. Therefore, it is fundamental to develop alliances like this one if we want to guarantee the strength of our business fabric, especially in the case of SMEs .” He added that “the challenges in digitalization and sustainability that our companies currently face, in a context of particular uncertainty, make it necessary for us to redouble our efforts in supporting them so that they have the necessary resources . ”

Over the past decade, the collaboration between CaixaBank and CEOE has channeled more than €170.000 billion into business growth. CaixaBank's extensive network of branches and specialized services, with 214 business centers and over 2.300 highly qualified professionals , has been key to meeting the diverse needs of the Spanish business sector.

This new line of financing is expected not only to boost digitalization and innovation projects, but also to foster job creation , sustainable growth , and the internationalization of Spanish companies. CaixaBank's ability to offer customized solutions reinforces its position as a preferred partner for businesses in Spain.

With this alliance, CaixaBank and CEOE consolidate their position as drivers of positive change, reaffirming their commitment to quality, innovation, and the sustainability of Spanish business, and marking a significant milestone in the country's economic and social development.
