The Canarian delegation, headed by the manager of the Fuerteventura Technology Park, Edward Pereira, and the director of the General Directorate of Strategic Projects of the Government of the Canary Islands, David Perez Dionis, has presented the advances and projects that are transforming the aerospace panorama on the islands.

The fair covers everything from unmanned navigation in the air, on land and at sea to the development of technologies for space exploration, thus covering the entire value chain of these systems.
The Canary Islands seek to highlight its commitment to innovation and attracting investment in the aerospace sector, taking advantage of its strategic tricontinental location between Europe, America and AfricaThis privileged position makes the islands a strategic enclave for the development of cutting-edge technologies.
The regional government is promoting the creation of two key infrastructures for the unmanned systems industry and pseudo-satellite flight platforms: Canarias Stratoport for HAPS & UAS and the International Smart Centre for Security, Emergencies, Biodiversity and other Public Service Missions (ISSEC Centre).
Both initiatives are part of the program Canarias Geo Innovation 2030, whose objective is to diversify the Canarian economy by incorporating the aerospace sector and developing innovative technologies. These solutions are based on the processing of data obtained by sensors installed on long-duration unmanned aerial platforms, capable of performing long-range and persistent flights.
The programme, which is developed in close collaboration with the Government of Spain, the Government of the Canary Islands, the Cabildo of Fuerteventura and the Fuerteventura Technology Park, contributes to the diversification of the local economy, consolidating public-private cooperation to generate new growth and employment opportunities, based on the implementation of new technologies.
