GBfoods Africa , with over half a century of experience in Senegal, has operated a factory since 2015 dedicated to the production of bouillon cubes under its renowned brand “ JUMBO ”. The capital injection from FIEX will be used for the renovation and expansion of this plant , with the aim of significantly increasing its production capacity. This project will not only consolidate GBfoods Africa's position on the continent but will also facilitate increased exports to neighboring countries, thus contributing to job creation in Senegal.
Ángela Pérez , president and CEO of COFIDES, emphasized the importance of this operation: “For COFIDES, supporting projects by Spanish companies that promote the economic and social development of Africa is part of our commitment to global sustainable growth. It is very gratifying to support the expansion of GBfoods Africa's plant in Senegal, which strengthens its industrial capacity in the region and fosters local job creation, while also contributing directly to food security and the health of the population .” This statement highlights the project's dual impact: both on industrial strengthening and on the social well-being of the region.
