In a day held in the CEOE the motto "Opportunities in Boyacá, a strategic region in central Colombia", business leaders and representatives of investment agencies presented business opportunities in this emerging region of Colombia. Julian Nunez, vice president of CEOE and president of SEOPANHe opened the event by highlighting the strengthening of bilateral relations between Colombia and Spain, stating: “Let us continue to join forces and row in the same direction… thus promoting the well-being and development of people, which is ultimately what matters.”
The governor of Boyacá, Carlos Amaya, highlighted the strategic projects underway, such as the medium-speed train, with an investment of 1.600 billion euros, and the Sogamoso international airport. He also highlighted the development of road infrastructure, agroindustry and tourism in the region.

In turn, the Investment Advisor of ProColombia, Natalia Munevar, presented during the event the five key reasons that make Colombia an ideal country for investment, highlighting its commitment to sustainability, its wealth of biodiversity, support for social inclusion and gender equality, its energy transition towards renewable energies and its position as a leader in the region.
For its part, Gheidy Gallo, executive president of ProBoyacá, described Boyacá as an emerging, safe and robust economy, with great opportunities in sectors such as agribusiness, logistics, energy and technology. “We want Boyacá to be the agribusiness hub not only in Colombia but in the world,” said Gallo, emphasizing the region’s potential for economic growth through 2050.
