A total of seven companies in the Murcia, belonging to sectors as diverse as upholstery, furniture, fabrics and sculpture, will hold around 300 business interviews this week to market their hotel and restaurant equipment products in the markets of Peru and Colombia. This is a commercial mission of the 'Contract Plan', organized by the Development Institute (Info).
Since 2016, Info has promoted this marketing channel that integrates the sectors of architecture, construction, furniture, upholstery, lighting, natural stone, engineering and any other product or service that can participate in comprehensive projects for the collective equipment of public buildings or private. It consists of a business formula based on business cooperation, which allows providing a global solution to large projects such as hotels, resorts, hospitals, government buildings or tourist complexes, among many others.
Throughout these years, various events have been held to reinforce the marketing of this channel, in which Murcian companies maintain a considerable presence, and which is closely linked to regions where tour operators develop large hotel projects, such as markets of the Persian Gulf and some Latin Americans.
The action in Peru and Colombia, with whose prescribers a close relationship had already been maintained for years, has materialized in this commercial mission, financed by Info through the European Regional Development Fund. The financing covers around 80 percent of destination consulting expenses to arrange interviews, flights, accommodation and logistics.
During this week, more than 300 business interviews will be held between the two markets within the framework of the 'Contract Plan'
The companies participating in the mission are Mariano Farrugia (leather covering), Suministros Lomar (furniture assembly), Siroco (lighting), Zadise (furniture), Frajumar (upholstery), Cabanes y Ortuño (fabrics) and Manuel Menárguez (sculpture and paint).
The professional profiles of potential buyers range from prescribers in collective building equipment, to architects and designers, to construction developers or hotel chains, among others. In addition to bilateral interviews between exporters and buyers, broader meetings will be held with various entities and sector associations in order to present the powerful commercial offer of the 'contract' from the Region of Murcia.
This action is carried out within the framework of the Business Internationalization Plan 2023-2027, which execute the Development Institute and the Chambers of Commerce of Murcia, Cartagena and Lorca.
The commercial initiative aims to “create services adapted to the profile and needs of companies; increase the international competitiveness of our companies through a determined commitment to innovation, technology and digitalization; strengthen and increase human capital for internationalization and provide companies with the necessary tools and knowledge to take advantage of business opportunities derived from the political and commercial environment, as well as from multilateral entities," according to the acting Minister of Business, Social Economy and Self-Employed, Valle Miguélez.
