The bill of Andalusian companies in Asia has been growing in recent years

The invoice of Andalusian companies in Asia has been growing significantly in recent years, an objective promoted by Extenda, which has also grown in the provision of services on this continent, currently providing support through its Foreign Network in 22 countries. Andalusia has already managed to be the second largest exporting autonomous community to Asian countries in the first half of 2022, with 13,3% of the national total, which stands at 15.424 million euros.
Sales are also very diversified by products, highlighting exports of minerals, slag and ashes, with 711 million euros; ships and floating devices, 262 million; and olive oil, with 236 million, all of them with significant growth.
Exports are growing in six of the top ten destination markets for Andalusian sales in Asia, with significant increases in Saudi Arabia, second market, and to which sales multiplied by more than four (347%) compared to the same period of the previous year; and in Work shirts / service shirts, sixth market, where they almost double (84%).

Fifthly, it is positioned India, with 81 million and 4%, with an increase of 30%; followed by Work shirts / service shirts, with 70 million and 3,4%, with an increase of 84%, the second fastest growing destination in the Top10; and the United Arab Emirates, also with 68 million and 3,3%, which fell 16,3%.
They close the Top10 Israel, in eighth place, with 51 million, 2,5% and a decrease of 18%; Malaysia, with 43 million and 2,1%, which grew by 39%; and tenthly, Taiwán, with 29 million, 1,4% and a decrease of 50%.
In addition, other markets such as Iraq (1th destination of sales), which doubles and rises by 165% and reaches 12 million; Oman (1th), which grows 73% to 21,1 million; either Singapore (11th), which grows 53% to 23,8 million euros.

Huelva, leads and Cádiz, the one that grows the most
The Andalusian provinces that exported the most to Asia in the first half of 2022 were, first of all, Huelva, with 873 million euros and 43% of the total, with a growth of 32%; followed by Cadiz, with 428 million and 20,9%, which registers the highest growth in the province, with a growth of 88%; and of Seville, with 335 million, 16,4% and an increase of 1,7%.
They follow Malaga, with 130 million and 6,3%, which also decreased by 18,4%; Cordoba, with 110 million and 5,4%, which rose 42%; Granada, with 71 million and 3,5%, which grew by 11,7%; Almeria, with 67 million, 3,3% and an increase of 10,4%; and lastly, Jaen, with 32 million and 1,5%, which increased its sales by 20,5%.
Olive oil and ships on the rise
The minerals, slag and ashes They were positioned as the most exported chapter to Asian countries in the first half of 2022, reaching 711 million euros and 35% of the total, with a growth of 48% compared to the same period of the previous year. It is followed by the chapter of boats and floating devices, with 262 million and 12,8%, which has increased (+99.154%) its sales compared to the semester of 2021, registering the highest growth in the Top10; and the olive oil chapter, the first agri-food sector, with 236 million, with an increase of 22,6%.
Fourthly, there are fuels and mineral oils, with 116 million and 5,7%, with a decrease of 50%; followed by meat and edible offal, with 82 million and 4%, which decreases by 40%; of fruit and vegetable preparations, with 57 million and 2,8%, which increased by 31%; and electrical machines and material, with 51 million and 2,5%, which increased by 65%.
At the end of the Top10, the chapter of the alcoholic beverages and liquids, also with 49 million and 2,4%, which grows 59%; followed by various food preparations, with 35 million and 1,7%, which increases by 20,7%; and, in tenth place, organic chemical products, with 33 million and 1,6%, with an increase of 21,4%.

Until August 2022, Extenda has held a total of 182 actions in the Asian markets, which have generated a total of 1.341 participations by Andalusian companies in different fairs, direct missions, scheduled individual projects and seminars, among others. In turn, and for the remainder of the year, Extenda's programming includes forty more actions aimed at the Asian continent, among which important direct missions for all sectors stand out in line with the business opportunities detected.
Highlights in Japan include participation in the XV presentation of Andalusian products in Tokyo, as well as wine and ham seminars for the country. In the Arab Emirates, there have also been some participations in certain fairs, such as Gulfood or the World Defense Show in Riyadh; as well as important direct agri-food missions in South Korea.
