Futureco Bioscience strengthens its presence in Mexico with financing from COFIDES

The company is determined to increase its sustainability

Futureco Bioscience, a company specialized in the manufacture of high-quality biostimulants and organic biopesticides, has received a loan of 300.000 euros from COFIDES to consolidate its presence in the Mexican market.

The project, supported by COFIDES with a total investment of €375.000, aims to consolidate Futureco Bioscience's business in the agricultural biologicals sector. The Catalan company, with a subsidiary in Mexico City , began commercial operations in the country last year.

 

COFIDES had already supported the company in 2020 and 2022 during its expansion in Peru. Miguel Ángel Ladero , Corporate Director of Investments at COFIDES , expressed his satisfaction at continuing to support a company as "committed and innovative as Futureco Bioscience."

 

The funding will benefit from the COFIDES Impact program, which promotes investment in actions with a positive impact on the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs ). In this case, the technical assistance component will be applied to the development of the 2024 sustainability plan for Futureco Bioscience and its subsidiaries.

 

The loan of 300.000 euros will allow the company that manufactures biological products for agriculture to consolidate its activity in the country and advance its commitment to business sustainability.

 

The entire project contributes particularly to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2, Zero Hunger, specifically target 2.4: ensuring the sustainability of food production systems and implementing resilient agricultural practices.
