the technology firm GMV has been awarded the contract for the creation of the Space Security Portal (SSP) from the Space Data Association (SDA)This new, agile, state-of-the-art flight safety system with new capabilities has the main objective of strengthening the services of space traffic coordination (STC).
GMV was selected after a rigorous competitive process, in which the company demonstrated not only its technical and operational credentials, but also its leadership in ciberseguridad and its full alignment with the SDA's non-profit model and its commitment to spatial sustainability.
Enhanced services through the SSP are expected to be fully operational by early 2026.
With a track record of more than 16 years, the SSP will take advantage of the emerging technologies and space surveillance data (SSA) to manage the growing number of satellites in orbit. This capability places the SDA at the forefront of space safety.
