The strategy of the entity, headquartered in Santiago de CompostelaIt has focused on four key challenges: boosting rail freight transport, internationalizing companies, attracting talent, and adapting to digitalization.
The railway as the cornerstone of competitiveness
Rail freight transport is consolidating its position as one of the cluster's top priorities for the second half of the year. The European project will be officially launched on July 21st. POCTEP Corredor Atlántico NoroesteThis strategic initiative will bring together in Santiago de Compostela to administrations and companies of Galicia, Castilla y León and Región Norte de Portugal with the aim of strengthening rail connectivity in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula.
This project is the culmination of a semester of intense work in which the entity organized a specific event on this mode of transport in the Salón Internacional de la Logística (SIL) de Barcelona, held a meeting with the Xunta de Galicia and the European coordinator of Corredor Atlántico, and made progress in the study of rail demand in the region.
Internationalization in a complex environment
In a global context marked by geopolitical uncertainty and the transformation of supply chains, the cluster has redoubled its efforts to support Galician companies in their expansion into new markets. The organization participated with its own stand at leading trade fairs such as Empack and Logistics & Automation Porto and the SIL de Barcelonafacilitating the presence of partners as co-exhibitors.
A trade mission was also coordinated to TángerStrategic meetings were held with the Xunta de Galicia ’s relationship with the port of Miami and the fifth edition of Encuentro de Logística InternacionalAlso noteworthy is the collaboration with the Chinese multinational. The battle for logistics talent
Attracting and retaining professionals remains a key challenge for the sector. To address this, the cluster has launched the Logistics Employment Platform, a tool designed to connect businesses and professionals. This initiative has been strengthened through actions in conjunction with Red de Docentes de Formación Profesional, participation in workshops at educational centers such as the Liceo La Paz and the EFA Fonteboaand the celebration of First Talent and Logistics Meetingwhich brought together more than 600 participants. Adaptation to digital transformation
Digitalization, driven by new regulatory requirements, has been another key area of focus. These actions were complemented by activities on operational excellence, business continuity, and carbon footprint calculation.
