German group Bonial.com acquires 64% of Spanish company Ofertia.com

The transaction also includes a significant investment to boost the company's growth and expansion.

The world's leading group in geolocalized advertising has bought the shares of FINAVES (IESE's seed capital fund) and Inderhabs Investments


[Img # 12355]The German company Bonial.com, leader and creator of the digital catalog and brochure dissemination model worldwide and part of the German publisher Axel Springer SE, has consolidated its commitment to Spanish technology developed by Ofertia increasing its share to 64%. Bonial.com had invested in Ofertia in a financing round in 2012. With this operation, the German group becomes majority shareholder, sharing a position with the founders, Thomas Roggendorf and Jaume Betrian, who hold the other 36% of the company.

 

In this transaction, Bonial.com has acquired the shares previously held by FINAVES – the seed capital fund of the IESE Business School – and Inderhabs Investments. Oriol Carreras, co-founder of Ofertia, also exits the Catalan company's shareholding in this deal.

Thomas Roggendorf and Jaume Betrian have wanted to reinforce their commitment to the company by increasing their stake by 7%, and ensuring that they have management capacity and influence in the business development.
