A dozen 'startups' of the Murcia participate in the 'Alhambra Venture', an internationally recognized forum for startups held in Granada, thanks to financing from the Development Institute (Info). Murcian companies will have the opportunity to present their high-tech business projects belonging to leading industrial sectors such as, for example, agri-food.
Also, the director of Info, Joaquín Gómez, participated in the inaugural round table of 'Alhambra Ventures', called 'Entrepreneurship ecosystems'. The event brings together investors, startups, corporates and prestigious speakers, so that emerging companies can validate their business models and explore investment opportunities. “This action to support entrepreneurs includes communication, awareness and promotion actions for Murcian companies to promote the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem of the Region,” Gómez explained.
Info plans to hold the 'Waykup' in November, an event also organized for emerging companies that will feature investors from Spain, the United States, Israel and the Arab Emirates, with the prospect of reaching 100 investors.
Among the participating companies are Biuwer Analytics, Slang Innovations, Veryagro, Soluciones Integrales Smart Beach, Campos Serrano Biologists, Ai Nostrum Technology, Fiscoo Particulares, Holdtx Spain, Intelligent Apps Design and Development and Bioprocesia. The latter, together with MySmartBeach, will have the opportunity to participate among the finalists of the 'pitch' contest to present their business project in an extremely restricted time.
Additionally, Info has organized a group visit with other members of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Region of Murcia belonging to the Local Development Agencies and other representatives of the Punto SME Network.
In this forum, actions will be carried out to promote knowledge of the entrepreneurship ecosystem of the Region of Murcia, while a location will be offered so that Murcian companies can hold meetings with potential investors.
The Region will host a new edition of 'Waykup'
On the other hand, Info plans to hold the 'Waykup' next November, an event also organized for emerging and international companies. This year it will have investors from Spain, United States, Israel and Arab Emirates, with the prospect of reaching 100 investors. The registration period to participate in this business event is open until July 20.
These activities are part of the C(i*EMP) 2022-2025 Strategy focused on promoting and supporting entrepreneurship in the Region of Murcia, which aims to move towards an economic model based on knowledge and support the creation and consolidation of new companies, responding to new business and technological challenges, while strengthening priority sectors for the Region of Murcia.
