Haizea Wind Group: explosive growth and global expansion in 2024

 

The year 2024 has witnessed unprecedented growth for Haizea Wind GroupThe company exceeded all expectations, recording revenues of €371 million, a 32% increase year-on-year. This growth translated into an EBITDA of €47 million and a net profit of €18 million, figures that reflect the strength and success of the group's business strategy.

 

"This year has been a milestone for Haizea Wind Group. We have not only achieved outstanding financial results, but we have also strengthened our production and technological capacity, consolidating our position as leaders in the wind power industry," said a company spokesperson.

 

The expansion of Haizea Bilbao has been a key factor in this growth. The investment of more than 250 million euros in new facilities in the Port of Bilbao has allowed the company to significantly increase its production capacity. These new facilities are essential to fulfill contracts signed with industry giants such as Scottish Power (Iberdrola Group) and Ørsted.

 

"The expansion of Haizea Bilbao has allowed us to become the leading factory for XXL monopiles in Europe. This not only strengthens our market position, but also allows us to diversify our customer base and consolidate our position as a global benchmark," the spokesperson added.

 

Despite the challenges in the onshore wind sector and the economic difficulties in ArgentinaThe Haizea Tecnoaranda and Haizea Grupo WEC plants have met their objectives. The company has had to adapt to market conditions, selling its factory in Argentina to its local partner. Sica and relocating more than 40 employees at its plant Bilbao.

The production in Haizea Breizh (France) has also experienced a resurgence, with the manufacture of components for projects Le Tréport and Noirmoutier, following the success of the St. Brieuc project in 2023.

 

In terms of governance and sustainability, Haizea Wind Group has strengthened its corporate structure with the addition of independent directors and the creation of specialized committees. The company has obtained Ecovadis certification for its plants.
