Iberdrola Italy, the Italian subsidiary of the international energy giant Iberdrola, has inaugurated its third photovoltaic plant in the town of Tarquinia, marking a new milestone in its commitment to clean energy and the industrial electrification of the country.
This energy production will be sufficient to cover the consumption needs of approximately 18,000 households, significantly contributing to reducing the carbon footprint. It is estimated that the plant will prevent the emission of more than 15,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere annually, a crucial step in the fight against climate change.
Beyond its positive environmental impact, Iberdrola's project in Tarquinia demonstrates a firm commitment to biodiversity and integration with the local environment. The company has incorporated the planting of an olive grove with 1,350 olive trees into the project, an initiative that not only beautifies the landscape but will also generate additional income for local communities, thus fostering sustainable and inclusive development.
This new photovoltaic plant consolidates Iberdrola Italia's position as a key player in the country's energy transition, boosting renewable energy production and promoting a greener, more electrified future.
