Iberdrola Legal Hub has been awarded in the Awards Financial Times Innovative Lawyers, celebrated in London, with the award in the Operational Transformation category.
The award-winning project, Iberdrola Legal Hub, has implemented a tool for Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) which digitizes the entire process of managing contracts with third parties. This system allows automation from the request and drafting of the contract to its negotiation, signature, monitoring and compliance, ensuring more efficient management with less risk. In addition, it includes the digitization of legal queries, which speeds up access to legal information within the company.
At present, Iberdrola Legal Hub is already operational in Spain, with more than 700 people from different areas collaborating in contract management. It is expected that by the end of 2024, more than 5.000 company employees will be working collaboratively in the negotiation and management of all the company's contracts globally.
This project is part of Iberdrola's Legal Innovation Centre, created in 2022, which has managed to digitalise key functions for the company's lawyers, including budget management, supplier management, electronic invoicing, corporate management and litigation management.
Recognition in the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards positions Iberdrola as a benchmark in the modernisation and digitalisation of the corporate legal sector in Europe.
