The Spanish company and Supermercati Tosano sign a long-term renewable energy purchase and sale agreement (PPA) for 10 years.

Iberdrola, the world's leading energy company in the development of renewable energies, has signed an agreement with Tosano supermarkets, an Italian supermarket chain with more than 19 hypermarkets and nearly 4.000 employees, to supply you clean energy during 10 years.
The agreement, which is part of the commitment of both companies to the decarbonization and sustainability, will allow Iberdrola to supply Tosano with part of the production of its own photovoltaic system, for an estimated annual consumption of 20 GWh. This will contribute to increasing the Italian company's energy security, its energy independence and accelerating its path towards decarbonization, with a reduction in CO2 emissions of around 6.000 tons per year.
Tosano supermarkets, located in northeastern Italy, will be powered by green energy thanks to this agreement. From Verona to Vicenza, from Brescia to Venice, from Udine to Ferrara, the supermarket chain becomes an example of commitment to the environment.
This agreement consolidates Iberdrola as a leader in the PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) market in the long term.
The company has extensive experience in this area and manages long-term energy purchase and sale agreements in markets such as Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, Mexico and Australia, coming from onshore wind and photovoltaic projects.
