Indra Group boosts production of cutting-edge systems in India

The agreement was signed by José Vicente de los Mozos, CEO of Indra Group, as well as the Dr. Sampath Ravinarayanan, President of AXISCADESWitnesses to this milestone were Angel Escribano, Executive Chairman of Indra Group, and Alfonso Martinez, CEO of AXISCADES.

This strategic collaboration will focus on the manufacturing of various Indra technological solutions in India. Key systems to be produced include the antennas for its tactical air navigation systems (TACAN), distance measuring equipment (DME)—essential for providing vital information to aircraft in flight—and countermeasure systems. The latter are part of Indra's sophisticated design to protect aircraft against potential attacks, including those launched with MANPADS (Man-Portable Air Defense Systems).

The partnership with AXISCADES not only strengthens Indra's global network and its position in the aerospace and defense systems market, but also significantly contributes to the development of India's technological capabilities. Indra has maintained a strong presence in the country for years, serving as a key supplier of advanced systems and technologies for various sectors. Its contributions to the Indian Armed Forces and civil air traffic management modernization projects are notable.
