Consortium Group, a leader in the market for canned and semi-preserved anchovies, northern bonito and high-quality light tuna, has closed the fiscal year of 2024 with an impressive turnover of 78.017.517 eurosThis result represents a 12,2% growth compared to the previous year, exceeding previous revenues by more than 8,4 million euros.
The company's financial success is also reflected in a significant increase in its net profit, which soared by 356%, reaching 1.590.741 euros in 2024, compared to 348.347 euros recorded in 2023. In addition, operating income rose by 650%, from 418.365 euros in 2023 to 3.139.999 euros in 2024. This notable increase is partly attributed to overcoming the challenges in the supply of raw materials that affected the company in 2023, coupled with a profitability improvement strategy which has proven to be effective.
La internationalization has been a fundamental pillar in this growth. Grupo Consorcio operates in 42 countries spread across five continents, achieving 59% of its turnover comes from export activities, a significant increase compared to 55% in the previous year. Its processing plants in Santoña (Spain) and Pisco (Peru)), along with the recent opening of its first independent marketing company in Milan (Italy), have been key to achieving this milestone.
As for its human team, the company has 900 over professionals, distributed across its plants and headquarters. It highlights Grupo Consorcio's commitment to equality, with a 66% female talent in its workforce.
The Italian market has shown a particularly positive balance for Grupo Consorcio in its first full year of independent activity.
The volume of finished product sold in Italy increased by 37%, increasing from 863.000 kilos in 2023 (when it operated through an external distributor) to 1.185.000 kilos in 2024. This growth underlines the favorable reception of the brand and the effectiveness of the commercial strategy implemented in this market.
