IVACE reassures sectors in light of Brexit and the new US protectionist policy

There will be another meeting in October to discuss the 2018 Action Plan

María Dolores Parra has met with the sectors that have the most trade relations with the US and the UK.

La General Director of Internationalization, María Dolores Parra, has met with the sectors that have the greatest commercial relationship with U.S. y United Kingdom, to whom he has conveyed "calm in the face of the Brexit and US protectionist policy "and full cooperation," Parra noted.

 

It is the second time that the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness meets with these sectors. The first meeting took place in December, when they were asked to contribute their concerns and needs to this meeting.

 

Maria Dolores Parra He explained that IVACE will continue with the work of advising and informing its delegations, both in U.S. as in United KingdomAt the same time, he has asked the sectors that "if any situation arises that could affect companies, to report it and, from the IVACEActions will be put in place to counteract this."

 

 

IVACE will continue to provide advice and information to its branches, both in the United States and the United Kingdom.

 

 

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Association of Exporters of Processed Products (ARVET), the National Union of Carpet Manufacturers (UNIFAM), la Valencian Association of Footwear Entrepreneurs (AVECAL), la National Association of Furniture Exporters of Spain (ANIEME), the Textile Business Association (ATEVAL), the Spanish Association of Toy Manufacturers (AEFJ) and the president of Chamber Council, José Vicente Morata.

 

Members of the community also attended. Spanish Federation of Manufacturers and Exporters of Lighting Apparatus (FEDAI), la Association of Internationalized Industrial Companies (AMEC), the Spanish Association of Ceramic Tile and Paving Manufacturers (ASCER).

 

In addition, it has had the participation of representatives of the Agri-Food Business Federation of the Valencian Community (FEDACOVA), as well as the Department of Agriculture, due to the export potential of a sector such as Food and Wine.
