The president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, José Luis Bonet , participated in the Spain-Netherlands Business Meeting held in The Hague, where he highlighted the importance of innovation as an essential factor for the competitiveness of companies in all their areas: product, organization and brand.

 

The meeting, organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, the State Secretariat for Trade through ICEX Spain Export and Investment, and CEOE, under the title "Economic Security through Technology and Innovation" , was part of the State Visit of Their Majesties the King and Queen to the Netherlands.

 

Bonet has insisted that innovation "is not an option, but a necessity" for companies that aspire to be competitive in today's global market.

 

In his speech, Bonet stressed that both Spain and the Netherlands have a "powerful" economic agenda for recovery and transformation, which promotes, among other measures, green and digital investments financed by the Next Generation Funds.

 

The president of the Chamber of Spain highlighted the presence of 60 Spanish and 130 Dutch companies at the meeting, mainly from the cybersecurity and Fintech sectors, which highlights the mutual interest in strengthening bilateral trade relations and promoting collaboration in matter of technological innovation.

 

Bonet emphasized that innovation "is not an option, but a necessity" for companies that aspire to be competitive in today's global market. In this regard, he pointed out that investment in R&D and the adoption of new technologies are key to developing differentiated products and services, optimizing internal processes, and strengthening brand image.
