The president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, José Luis Bonet , highlighted during the Spain-Brazil business meeting held in São Paulo , within the framework of the official visit of the Spanish Prime Minister, the role of the Chambers of Commerce in promoting greater collaboration between both countries.
Bonet also mentioned the European Union's Global Gateway Program as a crucial instrument to promote green and digital projects in partner countries such as Brazil
José Luis Bonet emphasized that the Chambers of Commerce are working on three fronts to promote cooperation between Brazil and Spain. According to Bonet, these are: first, by providing information, advice, and support to businesses through joint promotional programs and activities; second, by engaging in dialogue with governments and proposing initiatives that foster business activity; and finally, by carrying out or monitoring projects of mutual interest , whether funded locally, bilaterally, or by the European Union.
The president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce also noted that the EU's Global Gateway Program offers a "magnificent tool" for Spanish companies to "take a further leap forward in developing green and digital projects and investments" in preferred partner countries such as Brazil. Bonet believes that the combination of this program, which represents €45.000 billion in European co-financing in Latin America , with Brazil's New Economic Acceleration Policy (PAC), offers "enormous possibilities."
