La European Accreditation (EA), an organization that brings together the main accreditation bodies of Europe, has unveiled the brand EA MLAThis badge is a visual tool that will help market participants, regulators and consumers to quickly and easily identify the assessment bodies that have been accredited under the Multilateral Agreement on the Recognition of EA (EA MLA).
The EA MLA is a pact signed by the national accreditation bodies of the EA member countries, including Spain. ENAC (National Accreditation Entity), which guarantees the equivalence of their respective accreditation systems. In practice, this means that reports and certificates issued by accredited entities in a signatory country will be recognized and accepted by the rest of the countries that are part of the agreement, eliminating technical barriers to trade.
According to the press release, the main objective of this new brand is increase confidence in the European market, serving as a seal of quality and technical competence. The mark ensures that the organizations holding it have the rigor and reliability necessary to issue valid technical results, which is essential for the commercial exchange of goods and services.
In line with this release, ENAC will make the combined brand available to its nearly 2.000 accredited entities EA MLA-ENAC, allowing them to use it in their certificates and reports. This will enhance the value of accreditation for Spanish companies, facilitating their expansion into new markets.
ENAC is an active member and signatory of all multilateral recognition agreements, both at European level with EA, and at global level with international organizations. ILAC and IAF. Thanks to these agreements, the reports and certificates issued by entities accredited by ENAC are recognized in more than 120 economies, including the entire European Union, which makes accreditation a strategic tool for internationalization of Spanish companies.
