Mexico: Growth does not reflect Trump's election.

Spain – Mexico

Mexican GDP growth does not currently reflect the election of Donald Trump.

During the last quarter of 2016, the economy expanded by 2,4%, within the range projected by the authorities. For 2016 as a whole, the growth rate reached 2,3% (2,6% in 2015). This acceptable year-end performance is due to the services sector (+3,4%). It remains to be seen how Trump's promises, and especially his stance on NAFTA, will materialize in practice. The results for 2017 and 2018 will depend on this.
