More than a dozen Andalusian companies from the music sector attend the Womex Fair in Las Palmas

[Img # 29355]A total of thirteen Andalusian companies in the music sector look for business opportunities in the Womex Fair 2018 which is celebrated from yesterday until October 28 in the Canary Islands Fair Institution (Infecar) of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with the support of the Ministry of Knowledge, Research and Universitythrough Extenda-Andalusian Foreign Promotion Agency, and in collaboration with the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions.

 

La Womex Fair, which celebrates its 24th edition this year, offers Andalusian companies a consolidated framework to publicize Andalusian musical production, while allowing professionals and companies to establish valuable contacts, generate business opportunities and explore new markets.

           

TAI-certified Womex sets up a top-level international meeting for the creation of business networks in the field of the music industry. Throughout its five days, it hosts a business fair, meetings and commercial and business activities, as well as “s”, conferences, concerts and awards ceremonies. It brings together producers, distributors, programmers, record company managers, journalists and prescribers from all over the world.

 

In its previous edition held in Poland, brought together more than 1.400 companies from 90 countries, gathered in more than 700 exhibitors from 51 countries and 300 stands. Likewise, 950 event promoters, 420 publishers and distributors, more than 400 institutions, 740 music industry agents and 330 producers, as well as some 300 journalists from all over the world, gathered there. On the other hand, more than 60 shows were held within its framework with 2.303 musicians from 46 countries.

Andalusian companies in Womex

 

The thirteen Andalusian companies that are participating in Womex come from Cadiz (La Bodega Algazara and Liona & Serena Strings Recording, Production and Management Studio) and Cordoba (María Dolores Gaitán).

 

Furthermore, with the greatest participation Seville (Anegro Producciones, Bujio de Ideas, Fundación Cristina Heerende Arte Flamenco, Manager of new cultural projects-GNP, La Mar Sonora, Música es Amor, Santamaria Artists, Idarte Producciones and Sarao Films Management).
