Mission organized by the Murcia Chamber of Commerce
The companies held business meetings both in Casablanca, the main city for doing business in Morocco, and in the capital, Rabat.

Five Murcian companies belonging to the manufacturing sector construction have participated in a trade mission that has taken place in MoroccoOrganized by the Murcia Chamber of Commerce. This initiative is part of the Foreign Promotion Plan that the Chambers develop jointly with the Development Institute (INFO) with funds SPRING.
The delegation was made up of companies from various activities: architecture and urban planning projects; landscaping and gardening; concrete and mortar plants; manufacturing of metal structures, warehouses, roofs and enclosures; as well as electrical cables. All of them held business meetings both in Casablanca, the main city when it comes to doing business Morocco, as in the capital, Discount.
The Moroccan construction market is dominated by imports, especially of European origin, since its installed capacity is unable to satisfy domestic demand.
As Manuel Costoya, architect director of the MCEA Studio, one of the professionals who attended this mission: “Initiatives like this allow us to expand our development possibilities and access projects of great interest in the neighboring country. The meetings we have held with the public and private sectors have helped us discover new avenues for expansion, bridging the cultural differences between Spain and Morocco.”
The construction and public works sector in the neighboring country is evolving favorably after closing 2021 with good performance. Furthermore, the Moroccan construction market is dominated by imports, especially of European origin, since its installed capacity is unable to satisfy domestic demand. Furthermore, the low competitiveness of the national industry in terms of quality and efficiency means that Morocco has to import a large part of the construction materials, as well as some related services.
