This contract is a continuation of the one signed by both parties in June 2013, and is now extended, thus demonstrating the confidence of Norwegian Government in Navantia, as well as the company's commitment to the maintenance of the ships.

This new contract, in addition to covering the technical assistance, maintenance, repair, engineering studies, implementation of improvements, training and supply of spare parts and components, which the previous contract already had, incorporates a continuous support service for the maintenance of the Integrated Platform Control System of these ships, as well as a control of obsolescence in spare parts and components (detection and solution to the loss of validity of said elements) and maintenance of the configuration of the ships.

It should be remembered that Navantia It opened a commercial office in June of last year in Bergen, Together with the Naval base where the ships are based, in a bid by the company to strengthen its presence in the country and increase trade relations with this strategic client for Navantia.
