Navantia signs contract with the Royal Thai Navy to modernize two Pattani-class patrol boats.

Navantia has signed a new agreement with the Royal Thai Navy to modernize two patrol boats of the class Pattani that have obsolete systems.

The project includes the engineering, supply and integration of a new combat system, whose main component is the CATIZ, an advanced technology developed by Navantia Systems. Other systems from different manufacturers will also be included. In addition, Navantia will provide the necessary documentation and handle training for the system's operation and maintenance.

This is the second contract the company has signed with the Thai Navy in 2025, strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia. The previous agreement, signed in April, was for the modernization of an LPD vessel. Importantly, Navantia also built the helicopter carrier HTMS Chakri Naruebet (911), the flagship of the Thai fleet.

This new contract demonstrates Navantia's expertise in naval defense systems, as well as in modernization projects and high-value-added services. With this, the company reaffirms its commitment to offering innovative solutions and supporting its customers' strategic needs.
