The Spain-Colombia Business Meeting, held in Bogotá, brought together nearly 100 Spanish companies with more than 120 locations to explore investment and collaboration opportunities in various sectors.

The event, organized by the Secretary of State for Commerce of Spain, through ICEX Spain Export and Investment and Economic Office Commercial Law from the Embassy of Spain in Bogotá, in collaboration with the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) And Chamber of Commerce of Spain, seeks to strengthen commercial ties between both countries and position Spain as a strategic partner key to the economic development of Colombia.

 

Colombia is presented as an attractive destination for Spanish companies, thanks to its sustained economic growth, its favorable business environment and openness to foreign investment. The country, the fourth largest economy in Latin America, offers opportunities in diverse sectors such as infrastructure, renewable energy, water and environment, education, information and communication technologies (ICT) and tourism.

 

Spain consolidates itself as the second largest foreign investor in Colombiaa investment stock close to 31.000 million dollars. The presence of Spanish companies in strategic sectors such as banking, telecommunications, energy and infrastructure is a reflection of Spain's commitment to the economic development of Colombia.
