A major step for EU-Latin America connectivity
SIL President Enrique Lacalle states that the celebration of the largest International Logistics Congress in Europe and Latin America suggests that SIL 2016 will have more professionals than ever before and will serve as a major bridge between the two continents.

El International Logistics and Maintenance Exhibition (SIL)Organized by the Barcelona Free Zone Consortium, and the Federation of National Associations of Freight Forwarders and International Logistics Operators of Latin America (ALACAT), Based in Bogotá, Colombia, they announced this morning that the 32th edition of the ALACAT Congress It will be held within the framework of SIL 2016.
This is the largest congress in the sector held in Latin America, and in 2016 it will take place in Barcelona to build bridges of business and knowledge exchange with the Spanish and European logistics industries. The agreement was signed during SIL 2014, at an event attended by the Special State Delegate to the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium, Jordi Cornet; the President of the International Logistics and Material Handling Exhibition, Enrique Lacalle; the First Vice-President of ALACAT, Guillermo González Larsen; and Miguel Ángel Espinosa, Executive President of the Colombian Federation of Logistics Agents in International Trade (FITAC), an active member of ALACAT.
El President of SIL, Enrique Lacalle, has expressed his satisfaction with this important agreement and has stated thatSIL is the best possible venue in Spain and Europe to hold a congress of the importance and prestige of ALACATwhere significant business synergies and collaborations will be established between European and Latin American logistics.” Lacalle noted that “at SIL we host the largest international logistics congress in Europe, and in 2016 we will add the largest international congress in Latin America. The hosting of the largest International Logistics Congress in Europe and Latin America suggests that SIL 2016 will be spectacular in terms of attendance, networking, business, and international reach.”
