The CEO of CZFB and SIL, Pere NavarroHe celebrated these results, highlighting the industry's resilience and proactivity: “Adaptation is one of the most outstanding characteristics of the logistics sector because things are constantly changing. At this year's SIL, we've seen how dynamic and disruptive this sector is, as demonstrated by the more than 160 innovations presented by participating companies.” The executive also praised the influx of global talent traveling to Barcelona to “connect with all links in the supply chain, with companies that are innovating, and to learn about different technologies.”

For its part, Blanca SoriguéThe director general of the institution and the trade fair emphasized the high problem-solving capacity of the attendees: “93% of the professionals who visited SIL 2026 told us that they are involved in decision-making within their respective companies. For me, this is the key indicator of SIL's strength, as many of the participating companies told us that they made high-quality contacts, generating clear business opportunities.”

Taking advantage of this edition's platform, the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium has revealed that from 2027 onwards, the fair will undergo a qualitative leap, changing its name to Logistics Innovation ShowThis renewed strategic approach will leave behind the traditional trade fair model to create a dynamic and experiential environmentThe goal is to anticipate the future of international trade and allow professionals to interact in real time with market-redefining solutions, such as automation, robotics, data analysis, or smart mobility.

Pere Navarro took advantage of the presentation to highlight the importance of this industry, which already represents the 7% of Spanish GDPconsolidating itself as a pillar of business competitiveness. “The SIL has evolved from the very beginning, just as logistics itself has evolved. And this new stage responds precisely to that transformation: today we talk about innovation more than ever, because logistics is now also artificial intelligence, automation, data, sustainability, traceability, robotics, and talent,” the CEO pointed out, seeking to project a logistics smarter and more efficient.

This vision was supported by Blanca Sorigué, who pointed out that the change responds to market demands: “We want SIL to be the place where companies tangibly demonstrate how technology, talent, and sustainability are redefining logistics. We are committed to an experiential format that allows professionals to experience and understand the future before anyone else.”
