With a power of 241 MW
The contract covers the civil and electrical BOP of the parks, as well as all the support infrastructure necessary for the evacuation of energy.
Sacyr Industrial will perform for the global wind and solar development company, Mainstream Renewable Power, the engineering, supply and construction of the complete BOP (Plant Balance) of wind projects Alena and Tchamma, located in the Chilean regions of Biobío and Antofagasta.
Tchamma will have 35 wind turbines and an installed power of 157 megawatts (MW), while Alena It will have 18 wind turbines and 84 MW.
Alena and Tchamma They are part of the first group of investments that Mainstream performs by virtue of its PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) to generate renewable energy starting in 2021.
Park infrastructure
Sacyr Industrial It will carry out the foundations and support infrastructure for the parks, as well as the energy evacuation lines. It will design and carry out all the electrical and civil works necessary for the installation of the wind turbines, the medium voltage network, the lifting substation, the high voltage evacuation line, construction of road platforms, foundations for the wind turbines and the improvement of access. to the wind farms.
With these awards, Sacyr Industrial consolidates its activity in Chile and enters the Chilean electricity generation market through renewable energies. In this way, it contributes to the country's objective of increasing its green generation capacity and moving towards decarbonization.
Experience in Renewable Energy
Sacyr Industrial It is a benchmark in cogeneration and energy generation from biomass, solar thermal energy and energy recovery from waste, with more than 100 references in projects executed in different technologies, and is a leader in air conditioning using geothermal energy. It also has extensive experience in the development and construction of renewable projects, including wind farms and photovoltaic solar energy, as well as their comprehensive operation and maintenance.
