Sacyr wins the concession for the Itata Route in Chile

 

The concession will last for a minimum of 18 years and will have an estimated revenue portfolio of 1.200 billion euros.

 

Sacyr The company will invest around 516 million euros in the renovation, expansion and maintenance of the infrastructure. The works will cover 96,1 kilometres and will consist of the rehabilitation of roads, the construction of new bridges and service roads, as well as improvements in the safety and comfort of users.

 

Sacyr has been present in Chile since 1996, when it was awarded its first concession for the construction and operation of the Los Vilos-La Serena highway.

 

The outstanding works include the creation of 10 new interchanges, 2 viaducts, 24 bus stops, 12 footbridges, more than 7 km of cycle paths and the implementation of an electronic toll system (free flow). This project aims to modernize the infrastructure and improve connectivity on this important Chilean route.

 

Sacyr is present in Chile since 1996, when it was awarded its first concession for the construction and operation of the highway Los Vilos-La Serena.

 

Sacyr currently operates five airports, nine concessioned routes, covering more than 6.000 km of roads and representing 10% of the Chilean road network. It also has seven hospitals in different stages of construction and five plants that cover the complete water cycle, as well as emblematic projects such as the construction of the New Railway Bridge for EFE, a work that will replace the current structure that is more than 130 years old.
