Santander awards 60,000 scholarships and supports talent development in Mexico.

 

Banco Santander Mexico, through its division of Santander Universities, has benefited 60,000 people with scholarships and support in the first half of 2025. With an investment of 64.5 million pesos, the initiative focused on 58 academic programs covering strategic areas such as technology, languages, leadership, and soft skills, essential for today's labor market.

 

The investment positions Santander as the main financial institution promoting higher education in Mexico, with a focus on professional development and employability. Fifty-five percent of the scholarships were awarded to women, underscoring the institution's commitment to inclusion and closing gender gaps in the professional field.

The most in-demand programs reflect the needs of the labor market. Among the most popular initiatives are:

A notable finding is the high participation of people over 31 years of age, who represent almost 20% of the beneficiaries and are seeking professional retraining or digital literacy training. This highlights the inclusive and multigenerational educational model promoted by Santander.
