Schenker Spain opens a new branch in Santo Domingo

Schenker, SA, a transport and logistics company belonging to the Stinnes Group, has opened a new branch in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Located in the heart of the Dominican capital's financial and business district, the offices are equipped to handle any type of business: air freight, maritime transport, projects, or international trade fairs.
"The Santo Domingo branch has been created to develop and protect not only the Spanish market with this Caribbean island, but also to provide a professional response to the entire Schenker network worldwide, ensuring, with our presence, a high degree of quality in the services and communications established with this country," says Rafael López-Chapí, Air&Sea Product Manager of Schenker Spain.
While the Spain-Santo Domingo market is important, the North American market is even more so. Proximity to the American continent and the commercial interests of the USA—reflected in the significant activity of numerous American companies in Dominican Free Trade Zones—suggest rapid growth for this branch's business.
Since its founding, Schenker has experienced continuous growth. It has eight branches located in Spain (Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Irún, Madrid, Palma de Mallorca, Seville, and Valencia) and two in the Caribbean (Havana, Cuba, and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic), as well as representatives in Hong Kong. In Spain, Schenker specializes in providing logistics solutions for land, air, and sea transport, international trade fairs, industrial projects, and aeroparts systems, along with all associated logistics services.
