The engineering and technology group tendons Sener has played a crucial role in this development, participating as the Independent Verification Engineer (ICE). Sener has been responsible for ensuring compliance with the technical, design, and execution requirements, as well as applicable regulations, throughout the project.
The section that was inaugurated corresponds to the North Bankextending from Deux-Montagnes up to the Central Station. It consists of 14 stations, adding to those already operational in the first segment that connects Brossard and the Central Station, inaugurated in July 2023.
The REM is a fully automated and integrated metro system 67 kilometers of total length. Once completed, it will have 26 stations (5 underground, 8 on viaducts, and 13 at ground level) connecting key points such as downtown Montreal, the South Shore, West Island, the North Shore, and Montréal-Trudeau Airport. An estimated 18,2 km of the route runs on elevated structures.

Sener's participation as an internal control body (ICE) is fundamental to the project's safety and quality. Its tasks include:

The Montreal REM, currently under construction, is a monumental initiative with a budget of 6.900 billion Canadian dollars, managed by CDPQ Infra (Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec) and supported by the governments of Quebec and Canada.
